WNA Tree Pruning Clinic sponsored by Tree Des Moines
In 2012/2013, Tree Des Moines sponsored a Reforest Waterbury project. Over 200 bare root trees were planted in this extremely successful pilot project. It’s now time to show these trees how much we appreciate them by providing structure pruning! Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm a clinic will be held for all interested neighbors, followed by a pruning event on Saturday,March 21st at 9:00 AM. Mike Cook and Mindy Charron, Certified Arborists from Perficut Tree Service will lead the clinic. Teams and team leaders will receive street assignments until all the young trees have been pruned. (We have received permission from the City of DM to perform this activity.)
If you planted a tree on your private property in the past few years that needs prune or, are just interested in learning this important skill, please bring gloves and any of the following tools you may have…pruning saw, loppers, pole pruning saw.
